Creating a New Project

  1. Navigate to Project List

    • This is the default home screen it shows all existing projects

  2. Tap "+" Button

    • Floating action button in bottom-right corner, Opens "New Project" dialog

  3. Enter Project Details

    • Title: Required field (e.g., "Sociology Essay on Social Media")

    • Tags: Optional, comma-separated (e.g., "sociology, social media, digital culture")

    • Tap outside dialog or back button to cancel

  4. Start Voice Session

    • After creating project, automatically navigates to Voice Session screen

    • Begin recording your initial thoughts

Starting a Voice Session

  1. From Project List

    • Find your project

    • Tap "Start Session" button

  2. Initial Recording

    • Microphone Icon: Tap to start recording

    • Speak Clearly: Express your initial ideas on the topic

    • Recommended Length: 1-3 minutes for best results

    • Real-Time Feedback: Watch transcription appear live

    • Stop Recording: Tap stop button when finished

  3. Review Transcription

    • Check accuracy of transcribed text

    • Note: Currently no editing feature (future enhancement)

  4. AI Question Generation

    • Wait a few seconds for AI to process

    • Three follow-up questions appear

    • Questions are numbered (1, 2, 3)

  5. Select & Answer Question

    • Tap on one question to select it

    • Tap microphone to record your answer

    • Speak naturally and thoroughly

    • Stop when answer is complete

  6. Continue Conversation

    • Can answer additional questions

    • Each exchange deepens the conversation

    • All exchanges saved to database

  7. View Conversation History

    • Scroll through all previous exchanges

    • See your responses and selected questions

    • Review before generating draft

Recording a Lecture

  1. Navigate to Lecture Recording

    • From main menu or project

    • Tap "Record Lecture"

  2. Initialize Recording

    • App initializes Vosk model (takes a few seconds)

    • Status shows "Ready" when complete

  3. Start Recording

    • Tap red record button

    • Place device near speaker/lecturer

    • Monitor live transcription for accuracy

  4. During Recording

    • Duration: Shows elapsed time (MM:SS format)

    • Transcription: Real-time text appears below

    • Amplitude: Visual waveform shows audio levels

    • Pause: Tap pause to temporarily stop (resume later)

  5. Stop Recording

    • Tap stop button

    • Confirm if prompted

    • Processing begins automatically

  6. AI Processing

    • Status shows "Generating Outputs"

    • Progress bar indicates completion

    • Takes 10-60 seconds depending on lecture length

  7. View Results

    • Automatically navigates to Lecture Output screen

    • All four outputs ready (Overview, Notes, Summary, Flashcards)

Generating Drafts

  1. Access Draft Configuration

    • From Voice Session screen

    • Tap "Generate Draft" or navigate to Draft View

  2. Configure Settings

    Word Goal

    • Slider or input field

    • Range: 100-5000 words

    • Default: 500 words

    • AI will aim for this target but may vary by 10-20%

    Tone

    • Radio buttons or dropdown

    • Options: Neutral, Academic, Conversational

    • Preview example for each

    Refinement Level

    • Radio buttons or dropdown

    • Options: Light Polish, Moderate, Structured

    • See descriptions in Draft Configuration Options

    Optional Sections

    • Checkbox: Include Summary

    • Checkbox: Include Key Takeaways

  3. Generate

    • Tap "Generate Draft" button

    • Loading indicator appears

    • Generation takes 10-45 seconds

  4. Review Draft

    • Full text displayed

    • Scroll to read entire draft

    • Check formatting and structure

  5. Export/Share

    • Copy to clipboard

    • Share via email, messaging apps

    • Save to Google Docs (future feature)

  6. Version History

    • Access previous draft versions

    • Compare different configurations

    • Revert if needed

Viewing Achievements

  1. From Project List

    • Recent pebbles row at top

    • Tap "View All" or any pebble

  2. Pebble Collection Screen

    • Grid layout of all pebble types

    • Unlocked: Full color, shows unlock date

    • Locked: Grayscale, shows unlock condition

  3. Pebble Details

    • Tap any pebble for details

    • See description and achievement criteria

    • View total count if earned multiple times

  4. Celebration Dialog

    • Automatically appears when earning new pebble

    • Shows pebble type, color, and description

    • Tap "Continue" to dismiss
